I was surfing in Hanalei Bay, Kauai last week and I guy wearing a bucket hat asked me how I like my hat. I said, I love my hat, it has two adjustments, the bill flips up easy and stays up.

Received my hat in pretty good time all things considered, COVID delays, international freight to (Australia)
Have used my hat in all conditions including large surf with multiple
duck dives & super windy days; can not fault this item. Does not move around or slip, drains off instantly, actually forget that I’m wearing a hat while surfing.
Reality till now has been all other surf hats are pain in the ass one way or another.
This item outperforms every other surf hat I’ve persevered with.
Initially thought this item was possibly a little bit overpriced, but now wished that I had purchased a couple of extras for best ever Xmas gifts.
Quality construction with attention to detail all around. Have not scrimped by using cheap or inferior materials / components in any way.
Previous comment by earlier ‘reviewer’ simply does not make any sense; nothing ‘flimsy’ about this product whatsoever.
Well done for creating such a quality product that simply works & performs as promised, especially in this day and age of mass produced, disposable surf garbage.

I'm a longtime surfer but injuries to my shoulders have kept me out of the lineup. Next best thing is drop knee surfing on a special board. So there's a lot of close contact with every wave. This hat takes a beating. Far superior to any brimmed hat I've worn. I'll definitely grab another real soon. I'll try to get a pic to you in the future! Rob

I have been securing it with my ponytail...half above the strap, half below, all tied together with a hair tie...works great and I don't have to worry about the chin strap or the hat falling off. Great sun protection and keeps my hair out of my eyes. I recommend!

Works like a charm. Keeps the sun off my head and out of my eyes. Fits great. Strap is unobtrusive and keeps the hat on my head in wind and wipeouts. . And it doesn’t block my vision. Worth every penny.

It is my new “go to” hat for all water activities. I bought it for surfing but use it for winging and sup. Also perfect for cruising fast in the boat without losing you hat. Fits great, looks good, stays on.

I ordered this cap for kitesurfing after talking to a guy that was wearing one on the beach. The cap is very comfortable and lightweight but stays on the head perfectly. It also has uv protection from the sun. Overall a great cap and also a very good after sales service, any problems they are straight back with a answer. Thanks

I will write the same thing here, that I’ve told people in the water that asked me about it. This works as advertised. It can be really annoying to have to adjust your hat after duck diving a wave, but this stays In place and can keep paddling when I come up. It really great for people like me who have to wear earplugs in the water. Since there is no flap over the ear, the plugs don’t get pressed into my ear, which can be uncomfortable. Over all it’s jus as comfortable as it is functional. Try one out you won’t be sorry.

California/Baja California - very well built hat. Looks like it will last at least a few seasons. Brim performs as advertised when duck diving. Straps not cumbersome. Locking mechanism gets a little to get used to but very secure. I was exactly in between sizes, opted for the smaller size - this likely performs better but does look a little dorkier. Opt for the larger size if you're worried about that. I'll probably end up getting a larger size and different color to add to my hat "quiver", but that in and of itself is all the review you need.

I love my Kaiola. It is light and high quality surf hat. I use it mostly while wing foiling and works well even doing hard slams. :) Color is cool and brings sunlight even to dark autumn in Finland. Mahalo!

I just love my hat, been using it in the waters of Portugal this summer and it's very comfy and stays put nicely in the water. As I see in monocular vision, I needed some protection from the Sun as I'm quite subject to glare, and it's just perfect!
